As a dental hygienist at Boisvert Dental, here is what to expect on your first dental hygiene appointment: you will get your gum tissues evaluated and measured, your oral cancer screening and we will proceed with your dental hygiene treatment depending on your needs: regular recall, gross debridement or deep cleaning.
Our oral hygiene equipment is by far the latest cutting-edge and state of the art piezoelectric system to remove subgingival calculus followed by hand instruments to smooth the roots out. It's very soft and painless, yet very efficient. You will leave with clear and detailed dental home care instructions so that you stay at your very best until your next recall. We recommend a recall every 3 to 6 months depending on your needs.
